A Bit Display test will help you quickly determine if there is a bluetooth connection between the Hummingbird Bit and your computer. This can be done by activating some lights on the Bit Display block. Tapping the top of the block will send the program to the Hummingbird Bit.
If you are unable to get a pattern to show up on your micro:bit screen, then that means one of two things:
- There was a step skipped in Snap! set up procedure. Either your device was not connected to the BlueBird Connector, or the BitFirmware.hex file was not properly downloaded onto your micro:bit.
- You properly followed the Snap! set up procedure, but the BlueBird Connector has unexpectedly disconnected. If your device has disconnected, you will see 3 letters flash on your micro:bit screen. Take a look at our article titled, “Why won’t my Hummingbird Bit stay connected to Snap! or the BlueBird Connector?”
