Due to a variation in voltage, rechargeable batteries may not turn on the green status light on your Hummingbird Bit controller. We recommend buying high-capacity rechargeable AA batteries with a capacity of at least 2000 mAHr. At 2000mAHr, four fully charged batteries can operate three servos on a Hummingbird Bit for about three hours. For LEDs/sensors and one servo, four fully charged 2000mAHr batteries can provide six hours of operation.
You may also note that the battery indicator icon in BirdBlox, Snap!, and BlueBird Connector may show a low battery status. That's ok! This is due to the variation of voltage in rechargeable batteries. We recommend charging your batteries to full charge after each use.
TIP: Make sure to fully charge your batteries in the days before use as they will slowly discharge when not in use.
